In Her Quiet Room
In her quiet room- The shoes come off then the earings, the necklace, the bracelet, the flower in her hair, the pins hoding her curls, the shawl he bought, and finally the dress. She sits at the mirror slowly taking off her makeup and gives her self a silent pat on the back because she made it through the night. She pulls the covers over her head and rolls into a little ball and begins to cry.
In her quiet room- Behind closed doors the mask comes off. Behind closed doors she can let the tears fall like rain, she does not need to be the strong girl, behind closed doors she can break without being seen, behind closed doors she can yearn for him without feeling shame, behind closed doors she can be a mess and no one will know, after all its just the walls of her quiet little rooom.
In her quiet room- it all comes off, all but the heartache. The heartache never leaves her, not for one moment.
You’ll never quite understand the pain you put me through, because frankly you’ll never feel quite the same way i felt about you…
